In 2017 SC "UkrOboronProm" 100% fulfilled the State Defense Order; as in the previous years, it was the main task of "UkrOboronProm" in 2017 (UOP).
3 673 pieces of new equipment and weapons were transferred to the Armed Forces, the National Guard and other security agencies of Ukraine during this year. 2053 pieces of these – are completely new and upgraded weapon. This result became possible due to the work of 130+ UOP enterprises-participants.
Ukrainian troops received tanks, IFVs, APCs, planes, artillery, Anti-Tank Missile Systems, Air Defense armament and other military equipment and weapons.
Ukraine observed the most massive transfers of weapons with the participation of the State Leaders. For example, just this October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received more than 200 weapons pieces at the military training range in Zhytomyr region.
"The Ukrainian Army will become even more stronger due to the next batch, which consists of more than two hundred armored vehicles, artillery pieces, airplanes, Air Defense Missile Systems and other armament samples," said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
In addition to public events, during the year, dozens of "UkrOboronProm" enterprises transferred to defenders new, upgraded and restored weapons, immediately sent to the military units.
More than fifty tanks "Bulat", restored at the Kharkiv State Enterprise “Malyshev Plant”, dozens of new BTR-4 and BTR-3 from the “Kharkiv Morozov Machne-Building Design Bureau” and “Kyiv Armored Plant”, new radars and Radio Warfare means from the Zaporizhzhya “Scientific and Production Complex “Iskra”, missile weapons from the “State Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch” and State Joint Stock Holding Company “Artem” and hundreds of other weapons from "UkrOboronProm" plants.
In addition, in 2017 the light portable missile complex "Corsar", developed by UOP SKDB "Luch," was adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, allowing to create all conditions for the serial production of this weapon.
In general, only this year more than ten types of weapons and military equipment – developed by "UkrOboronProm" enterprises – were passed into the service.
