"Working on innovations is to be systematic. Based on innovation only, Ukraine has a chance to radically transform its economy, "- writes in his column for "New time" newspaper director of SFTE "Spetstehnoeksport" Pavlo Barbul.
According to him, defence technology is the most attractive area for innovation in terms of acquired knowledge, resources, understanding of markets and processes. This field could become "incubator" for new technological developments for defence and other related industries, as in all developed countries.
Director of "Spetstehnoeksport" also notes that development of innovations is a long process with many consequences and risks. Having financial base or idea only is not enough to implement projectsone needs a full-fledged innovations infrastructure – a system of communication and coordination, cooperation and competition, its participants are interrelated and work together to create innovation. In this system, some players produce ideas and implement research and design, while others analyze these ideas in terms of marketing, the risks are building business models, managing projects, and the rest – provide the investment resource.
State Foreign Trade Enterprise "SpetsTehnoEksport" actively implements development and improvement projects for Ukrainian unmanned aircraft systems, including "Observer-S", "Phase One X24", "Anser", "Sparrow", "Furia". The enterprise also initiated development and invested in the production of tactical unmanned multipurpose vehicle "Phantom", which was recently represented by the SC "UkrOboronProm."
