We are able to compete in the global market through flexibility. However, this requires modernizing the production and investing in design. This was reported by the Director General of the State Concern, Aivaras Abromavicius, in the interview with Ukrinform.
Currently, not only executives of particular companies are involved in the sale of large number of armament This is already becoming a state priority and is being discussed at the state level.
“In order to keep abreast we need to modernize first, we need to invest money. Unfortunately, we do not have enough money to invest in advanced technologies. Yes, we are still testing the “Vilkha” missile complex, but we need to invest more in design, testing of new armament”, – stressed Aivaras Abromavicius.
Today Ukroboronprom pays about UAH 7,5 billion of taxes and dividend a year. Of this amount, about UAH 6.5 billion is taxes, and another UAH 1 billion in dividend. These funds are much needed to modernize enterprises, develop new modifications of existing armament, or create of new ones.
