ENTERPRISES OF LUGANSK REGION JOIN STATE DEFENCE ORDER FULFILLMENT: SIGNED MEMORANDUM WITH UKROBORONPROM

The State Concern "UkrOboronProm" and Lugansk Regional State Administration signed a memorandum on cooperation in defence industry of Ukraine to ensure economy growth and modernization, including economic recovery and sustainable economic development of the region.

The document was signed by UKROBORONPROM Deputy Director General for Aircraft Industry and Operations and the Head of Lugansk Regional State Administration Yuriy Garbuz.

"In Lugansk region  – before token occupation by Russian-terrorist troops – 6 defence industry enterprises were located. Today "UkrOboronProm” and enterprises of Lugansk Region face the important task: to restore and increase defence potential of the region" – said Volodymyr Korobov after signing the memorandum.

The memorandum provides for region’s scientific potential involvement to fulfill the state defence order research and development works, production set up issues: military, civilian and dual-purpose products for import substitution purposes.

In addition, special attention is paid to establishment of effective cooperation ties between enterprises of different forms of ownership, production modernization, attracting foreign investment to create high-tech production enterprises in the region.

In 2 years “UkrOboronProm” transferred about 13 thousand units of new, modernized and overhauled armament and military equipment to the military. The State Concern has launched import substitution program, loaded more than 300 domestic enterprises with orders and UOP enterprises produce over 900 components that were previously imported.

SC “UkrOboronProm” announced the reform of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. Reform strategy of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine consists of corporatization, creating of supervisory boards, audit – involving international companies, – clustering of enterprises in key areas of defence, defending technology and innovation platform – UkrARPA.
