The delegation of the State Concern "UkrOboronProm" (UOP) during the visit to London – at the invitation of the British Embassy in Ukraine – held a series of negotiations with British and other international companies in the field of defense industry, ahaving met with defence departments of the United Kingdom. UOP delegation represented the Ukrainian defense industry at the international exhibition DSEI 2017.

"UKROBORONPROM delegation met with global defense industry leaders, having covered all UOP clusters when discussing the projects offered and presentation of capabilities of the State Concern. The following fields received the most attention: armored vehicles, WO, aviation and naval systems; the parties also discussed the situation and the prospects of the existing projects, most of which have been implemented since summer," said UOP Deputy Director General for Development Artur Kheruvymov, commenting on the activities of the delegation at DSEI 2017. He added that foreign companies were impressed by the capabilities of the State Concern and recognized the success achieved by Ukraine in 3 years of war.

During the exhibition, UOP delegation discussed the possibilities of cooperation with Lockheed Martin Corporation and agreed to continue negotiations in the framework of AUSA 2017. Specialists of one of Europe’s largest machine-building holdings – Leonardo, working in defense, aviation and power engineering sectors – received an invitation to visit Kyiv and familiarize themselves with UKROBORONPROM capabilities. The meeting with Rolls-Royce allowed to discuss the possibility of equipping AN aircraft with powerful engines, and BAE Systems demonstrated the latest helmets for air combat forces. The aviation field also became the topic of negotiations with Rockwell Collins, offering their technology to replace Russian avionics.

Specialists of the following UOP enterprises-participants were a part of UOP delegation, most notably: SFTE “Spetstehnoeksport,” STIF “Ukrinmash,” SE “Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau”, State Enterprise "Antonov", State Enterprise "Iskra" and State Research and Design Shipbuilding Center.

Earlier, the delegation of the State Concern "UkrOboronProm" had visited the UK Defense Solution Center and – according to results of negotiations with British specialists – identified the directions for future cooperation. Particular attention was paid to electronic warfare and discussed the possibilities of production of the given equipment.
