SC "UkrOboronOrom" (UOP) expects the State Audit Service of Ukraine to join a major UOP international audit, which will begin soon. This was stated in the press service of "Ukroboronprom".
As stressed UOP representatives, this audit will be conducted by one of the leading world-renowned companies, selected by transparent tender. Thus, the State Audit Service of Ukraine will have the opportunity to work with its foreign colleagues. This will allow to remove all possible political risks.
"We do not know how the work of the the State Audit Service is performed now, but it has been repeatedly reported earlier about attempts by its employees to form the basis for ambiguous, politically motivated decisions. We believe that joint projects with recognized foreign companies could help the State Audit Service even in terms of reputation," said UOP representatives.
UKROBORONPROM representatives added that they are surprised by the information concerning allegedly “not allowing” the State Audit Service representatives to the territory of the State Concern. October 17, State Audit Service representatives freely entered UKROBORONPROM headquarters, but did not wait for the UOP leadership.
"The State Concern implements openness and transparency policy, regarding law enforcement agencies, public figures and journalists," noted representatives of the the State Concern.
The SC "UkrOboronProm" launched anti-corruption program in 2014. It involves internal audit and external audit engagement; cooperation with media, public organizations, state and international institutions, in particular – Transparency International Ukraine. The Concern uses transparent tendering procedures for the purchase of products and services.
UKROBORONPROM systematically fights any violations at its enterprises, cooperating with law enforcement agencies, journalists and NGOs. Over the past three years, the State Concern has handed over to law enforcement officers 183 materials on violations for a total amount of UAH 657+ million. Law enforcement agencies initiated 41 criminal proceedings on the materials sent. 25 heads of UOP enterprises were removed from their positions.
