Association of Lithuanian defense enterprises and the heads of other companies expressed their interest in establishing joint ventures and production sites together with "UkrOboronProm" (UOP). These are the results of "BALTIC DEFENCE INNOVATION CONFERENCE 2016", where the State Concern was represented by Deputy Director General for Development of the State Concern "UkrOboronProm" Artur Kheruvymov.
"We are confidently proceeding from repairing old weapons to production of modern samples of arms and military equipment. We have already dozens of new weapons in development and all of those will comply with international standards, "- said Artur Kheruvymov during UOP presentation.
He added that "UkrOboronProm" launched the domestic defense industry reform – "We are rapidly integrating international standards into Ukrainian military industrial complex, conquering international markets."
UOP representative conducted a number of strategic negotiations. Artur Kheruvymov also met with Director General for Capabilities and Armaments of the Ministry of National Defence Colonel Darius Užkuraitis on cooperation deepening.
Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) updated ranking of arms-producing companies – the SC "UkrOboronProm" immediately jumped 11 positions up. According to results assessment of weapons sales in 2015, analysts made on the basis of publicly available information, the SC "UkrOboronProm" took 81 position among all defense companies in the world.
