UOP REPRESENTS UNIQUE PILOT TRAINING CENTER FOR ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE – VIDEO

SPA "Avia" – in close cooperation with UOP SC "Ukrspecexport" – opened advanced training center for pilots and crews of helicopters Mi-8MTV, Mi-17V5, Mi-171SH, Mi-24 for the needs of the Air Force, Ukrainian Army Aviation and other relevant law enforcement agencies.

The complex incorporates the latest achievements in pilot training, modern simulator of the highest FFS level D international certification became the heart of the given complex. The combination of ultramodern technologies and helicopter type makes it unique not only in Ukraine but worldwide. It allows reproducing all flight aspects, handling machine under different conditions and flight situations.

This complex allows pilots to improve their skills, practice using technology while working under severe weather conditions, practice emergency actions, gain operational flight experience in night vision goggles, and practice using armament and protection against enemy’s AA defense.

"20 training programs for flight crews of "Mi" helicopters – for cadets, who just begin mastering piloting, and for professional pilots to polish up their flying skills – are already developed for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine," – said UOP Deputy Director General for Aircraft Industry and Operations Volodymyr Korobov.

SIP_4633These programs – depending on the pilot level – may last from one week up to a couple of months, and can be combined with practical training on simulators. This allows reducing not only transition to effective practice flight, but also saving a lot of money, spent on fuel and service life of equipment.

Innovative training center developers are waiting for the decision of the Ministry of Defense on using capacities of the complex for Ukrainian pilots training programs.
