UKROBORONPROM WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE HYPERLOOP PROJECT OF THE MINISTRY OF INFRASTRUCTURE

SC "UkrOboronProm" – together with other leading scientific and production associations and enterprises – joined the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine on developing the newest transport technologies in Ukraine, first of all, the high-speed transport system Hyperloop.

National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Octagonal Corporation, State Enterprise " The Production Association “Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant named after A.M. Makarov”, PJSC "Kakhovka Plant of Electric Welding Equipment", LLC Interpipe Ukraine, Unit.City, Dnipro Development Agency, Ukrainian Institute for the Future and Innovation Development Platform will also participate in this project.

"Ukraine has not yet lost its scientific and human potential, we are still a forge of personnel and technologies, we must focus on revitalization of our technologies and entering the advanced countries of the world, which are considering the construction of innovative modes of transport – hyperloop, in particular," – emphasized. Volodymyr Omelyan.

At the same time, the project of transport innovations HypeUA will be launched – the background for the development of innovative transport systems in Ukraine will be prepared. The possibility of building a test pipe on the basis of the aerospace cluster in the Dnipro – with innovative environment for the transport start-ups development – will be considered within the framework of this project.

The project is divided into three separate stages of implementation. The first stage, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the experts involved are in charge – involves scientific assessment – all risks, potential and technologies to be applied will be assessed, and the impact on the regulatory environment will be assessed as well.

The second stage: test site construction and commissioning – in the city of Dnipro – will be launched; it is planned to attract venture capital investments for this purpose. The final third stage: after testing, transition to industrial production will take place.

UKROBORONPROM is ready to work on the project at each of the stages. The State Concern has more than 30 research centers, some of them have technology and scientific expertise necessary for the implementation of this project. At the same time, dozens of other UOP manufacturing enterprises can join the production of both the final product or particular nodes and components, within the framework of production facilities reloading after works under the State Defense Order" said Pavlo Bukin, UKROBORONPROM Director General.
