Today, December 22, UKROBORONPROM and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute launched a new Masters degree program "Management in the Sphere of Military-Industrial Complex". "Ukraine is forming a professional Army and training of professional personnel in the defense sector is needed to support it. We invite volunteers and ATO veterans to join it, they will be able to combine their experience with the knowledge received during the 1.5 year intensive training", – said Roman Romanov, Director General of the State Concern "UkrOboronProm ". In addition, the agreement signed envisages expanding of the specialist training cooperation program. Launching specialist training program – covering Bachelor-Master-PhD – is the next stage. In future – creation of the Joint Center for development and introduction of high-tech field innovative projects into production.

"Our cooperation started in 2014, allowing UOP and KPI to develop a series of weapons and military equipment, for example, the UAV “Spectator” – created as a result of joined efforts – is already used by Ukrainian soldiers. In fact, we created a complete production cycle – from idea to production and passing into service", – said the rector of the “National technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky” Mikhail Zgurovsky. In general, over three years, UOP and KPI’s specialists developed about 40 pieces of military equipment and technical devices in all areas of defense industry; six of them are already operated by Ukrainian Army.

"Over the past three years, there have been significant positive changes. From the need to develop drones in 2014 we moved further to solving the problem of highly professional human capital formation in 2017," said Oleksandr Spivakovs’kyy, MP, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science. “Scientific and Production Association “Practika” supports launching of this program and joins such a strategic initiative. Specialists of our company will receive training in accordance with this program", – said Oleh Vysots’kyy, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Scientific and Production Association “Practika”.

The agreement signed also provides for organization of students’ practical training at UKROBORONPROM enterprises and creating conditions for students’course and diploma projects. In turn, KPI specialists will provide scientific and technical support to projects that are implemented at UOP enterprises, as well as contribute to solving scientific problems.
