From now on, NATO and UKROBOROBNPROM specialists will literally work side by side – the Advisory Support Office of the North Atlantic Alliance is established within the walls of the State Concern.
Development of roadmap for Ukrainian defence industry transition to NATO standards and partnership deepening with the EU member countries will be priority issues for cooperation.
"We will further deepen our cooperation with NATO and introduce international standards in the production of military equipment at our enterprises. The work of our partners representative office will greatly accelerate the given processes, bringing our cooperation to a new level"- said UKROBORONPROM Deputy Director General for Development Arthur Heruvimov, commenting on the opening of the office.
NATO Advisor on logistics and standardization Miroslav Pelikan confirmed that NATO will do everything possible to contribute to Ukrainian military industry transition to a new level, while cooperating not with UKROBORONPROM only, but also with all the power structures of the state.
In 2016 UKROBORONPROM headed for transition to high-tech manufacturing, international standards (NATO) and supplying the army with modern armament types. The State Concern maximum expands cooperation with NATO and the EU, as defined by the strategic course of the state. In 2015 UKROBORONPROM concluded export contracts worth over $ 1.3 billion.
