SC "Ukroboronprom" will implement high-tech development of specialists of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The relevant memorandum of cooperation was signed by UKROBORONPROM Director General Roman Romanov and Rector of the leading university of the country – Leonid Huberskiy on 25 February.
"Communications, IT-technologies, cybernetics, production and processing of new materials – these are the ways in which the State Concern will cooperate with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – a hallmark of Ukrainian education. Today, when Ukraine is virtually at war with the aggressor, there should be a continuous link between education, science and industry", – said the head of "Ukroboronprom" Roman Romanov.
He added that Ukrainian defense industry requires not only manufacturers, technologists and engineers, but also in managers: the State Concern needs young and ambitious managers with modern thinking and highly educated.
According to the agreement, Concern will use educational and research potential of the universities, assist in specialist training, organize onsite and practical training of students. UKROBORONPROM specialists will be actively involved in defining the subject of course works and theses. To encourage research activities of young scientists in the field of defense scholarships (grants) will be introduced.
University graduates will have a chance to be employed by the State Concern.
Specialists of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv already have a number of high technology developments and are cooperating with the military.
UKROBORONPROM is successfully cooperating with almost 50 Ukrainian universities, attracting scientific potential to solving production issues. Among them – the legendary Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, NTUU "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute," NTU “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and many others.
