REPRESENTED MILITARY EQUIPMENT SAMPLES ARE UNIQUE WEAPON – ANDRIY PARUBIY

Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy inspected samples of new military equipment, represented by the State Concern "UkrOboronProm" in the Parliament.

Speaking to journalists, the Chairman noted that "today in Verkhovna Rada the legislation on security and defence issues is being considered." Parubiy stressed the fact that UkrOboronProm leadership takes part in the Parliament session, and the latest Ukrainian developments of domestic production are represented outside Verkhovna Rada."

According to A. Parubiy, "UkrOboronProm" has already registered and submitted to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine 14 bills that enhance industry development towards creation of joint ventures with research institutions and cooperation for joint research. "It is a priority for Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", – he said.

A.Parubiy stressed that "Verkhovna Rada is the Parliament of belligerent country, so security issues are the top priority for us." Therefore, he said – during the Budget review on Thursday" 5% GDP offer is expected to support the defence and security sector, which is 129 bln UAH." Also, A.Parubiy reminded about the recent changes to the budget:7 bln. UAH additional funding for the needs of security and defence. "We see the result of joint efforts of the state and "UkrOboronProm": the military equipment samples – represented today – are unique armament of modern hybrid war – this military equipment can be controlled remotely at the distance from 5 to 20 kilometers, performing both combat missions and taking out wounded from the battlefield, bringing ammunition." According to A.Parubiy, this technology – unique for Ukraine and the world – allows saving our soldiers’ lives. "The life and safety of our soldiers remains our priority", – stressed the Head of the Parliament.

Speaking to journalists, A. Parubiy noted that "the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will support our Army, understanding that this is our main ally and protector of our security and defence."
