SC "Ukroboronprom" signed a memorandum of partnership and cooperation with Vinnitsa and Kirovograd National Technical Universities and Cherkasy State Technological University. The State Concern will help universities prepare specialists for defense industry enterprises and use scientific research of their scientists.

“At the time of war, Ukrainian defence industry has become gained the highest priority. We get increasingly more orders and funding from the state. Defence-industrial complex is becoming the locomotive of the state economy, the leader in introduction of new developments and advanced technologies. To enhance its potential, we need new young ambitious personnel that will bring in modern ideas and views on weapons and military equipment,”- said UKROBORONPROM Deputy Director General for Security Vladyslav Hadion during the meeting with scientists.

According to the agreement, Concern will use educational and research potential of the universities, assisting in specialist’s training, organizing onsite and practical training of students. UKROBORONPROM specialists will take part topic spotting of course works and dissertations. To encourage students’ research activities in defense industry, establishing scholarships (grants) are being envisaged. University graduates will have a chance to get a job at UKROBORONPROM enterprises.

Currently, scientists of Vinnytsia National Technical University have developed an unmanned aircraft complex, designed for photographic and construction of current orthophotos with reference to geographic coordinates. The university also established cooperation with the Armed Forces.
